I was kinda apprehensive about approaching HIFF major mister Anderson Le outside of Satura Cakes. I wanted to tell him about Shaka Talk, but he wasn't alone, and I hate talking about myself, but our show's not about me, so after sneaking past, and loitering in Borders a second, I went back to say Hi.
I was surprised he recognized me because a lotta folks don't know me outta drags. His 2 friends thought I looked familiar too. I knew the girl (sorry I forget her name already) from downtown and clubbing. What was embarrassing was the guy with them tells me "you've got a tv show, don't you?" I was in shorts, t-shirt, glasses and a hat, and he remembered me from the Pecha Kucha a few weeks prior when I had on hair and make upp, tits, skirt, no glasses. So do I look like a queen no matter what I'm wearing?
Anyway they were having a meeting about "Turn It Upp to 11!" It's a Rock 'N Roll Cinema festival at Kahala Theatres running Sept 11-13. Sounds exciting and eclectic, more my speed. Not that I'm opposed to or even over the yellow-centric usual fare, but this one sounds like it's gonna be a little raucous and rowdy, with the possibility of a little sex and drugs right out in the mall...instead of hidden away in that bathroom at the bottom of the stairs in the middle of everything.
I'm thinking of wearing something loose and flowy. Not the typical slut wear you'd expect to see at a Rock Fest, but I need it voluminous enough to hide all the crap I wanna sneak into the movie without revealing the fact that I'm going easy access (no panties).
