Check out the girls of Pacific Roller Derby on the cover, and inside of the March'09 issue of local queer rag eXpression!
With alternating boy/girl covers, and features appealing to a much broader audience, eXpression! has raised the bar (and expectations) for island readers. Interviewing athletes, dancers, models and physical trainers, the FREE publication has presented a more diverse portrayal of Hawaii's queer community, without relying on the cliche celebrity gossip and heavy sexual content of the typical gay glossies. Although some of the reporting sounds paraphrased (teetering on plagiarized), the articles are very useful and informative, timely though not dated. With the ironically uncermonious demise of the political and cultural treasure Da Kine magazine, eXpression! offers a welcome counter balance to Hawaii's long-running LCD Odyssey Magazine.

Pacific Roller Derby also has a myspace profile, a facebook fan page, even a Twitter, for days! (and how's the psychobilly Chola's Hell Caminos t-shirt on the mag)
