My friend Bert called me to let me know that there was an ad for musician / visual artist / cheesecake-churner-outer Otto Cake's bakery in the latest Honolulu Weekly. Apparently my former bandmate will be re-living the dream of running his own dessert destination. With a flair for the flamboyant, Otto's over-the-top antics and eye for detail set hopes high for his Grand Opening this First Friday, July 3 at 1160 Smith St. Although I'm a shameless Coke addict, I am wondering if he'll stay true to form and be serving Jolt Cola for old timers' sake?
